Would George Floyd's death gotten as much publicity if.....................

This is probably the easiest question you have ever been asked. Because the answer is so obvious.

Would George Floyd's death gotten as much publicity if he was white?

reply

Would he have been murdered/executed publicly if he were white?

reply

Chauvin would have personally drove him home if he were white.

reply

Under the same circumstances yes.

Now back to my question. Would George Floyd's death gotten as much publicity if he was white?

Under the same circumstances yes.
Let's create that same set of circumstances and test that rather arbitrarily derived conclusion. Let's start with a cherry-picked pre-cursor like, "Birth of a Nation" 1915 and the oppressing Black Man is so enraged by the apparent freedom of the heathen White Men, that were previously enslaved, that a movement and a nation had to be galvanized. Fast forward through the lynching of White Men, riots in segregated cities, restrictive housing covenants, etc, etc, ad nauseum and, maybe, just maybe, Ward Cleavar would have gotten the same publicity if a Black police officer had his knee on his neck for 9.5 minutes.

But basically, we would have had to have turned Ward Cleavar into an oppressed person of limited Melanin (color).

Now back to my question. Would George Floyd's death gotten as much publicity if he was white?
Your question is moot. Only if the "Monster" in the society had the same hatred, insecurity, and snowflakiness of that which gave birth and coddled, rewarded the Chauvin's of the world.

Do police forces target White Males because they are White Males?
https://moviechat.org/tt0114928/White-Mans-Burden It's a movie. It attempted to flip the narrative just as you are, in an attempt to create enlightenment, hmmmmmph, cause a discussion. 🤔

White people have been kept as slaves too.

reply

You're point being what?

I need a few more words to understand the equivalency?

reply

White people also have slave reasons on behalf of ancestors for various stuff, but they don't chimp out.

reply

"Chimp out" xD

Sure, blacks are overrepresented in police-public interactions, but American Asians are underrepresented. Why would that be if police are so "rayciss"?

Even serial "rayciss" can do random acts of kindness.

Next question, what is a rayciss?

More white people are killed by the police than anyone else.

A black man pushes a woman to her death in front of a subway train. Little coverage.

A black man knifes a young college student to death in her work place. Very little coverage.

A black man murders a young worker at Burger King. Almost no coverage.

A black man takes a bat to the head of an elderly Asian woman. Again, very little coverage.

A black man stalks and murders an Asian woman, stabbing her over 40 times. Not much coverage.

I hope you are noticing a trend. If a black person commits ANY crime, it doesn't receive hardly national attention.

It doesn't matter how horrific the crime. All that matters is the perpetrator is black. So they ignore it.

Enjoy Black History Month! As Amazon tells me every day on their page. Black is remarkable!

Apparently "All Lives Matter" and "White Lives Matter" are just counter slogans because "Black Lives Matter" struck a nerve. If every killing of whites by police forces were right, justified, not cover-ups, accidents, or mistakes then you have this "Perfect" police force. You should have been more concerned a long time ago that police forces were out of control killing so many whites.

No. All Lives Don't Matter. Never did. You never said a word until now about the senseless killing of unarmed whites by police.
A black man pushes a woman to her death in front of a subway train. Little coverage.
If you are comparing the coverage of "Crimes by Police Departments" to the coverage of "Crimes by black men" and the lack of publicity, then Go FOR IT.

All crimes tend to be local. Locally covered, locally solved, locally administered, locally adjudicated, until something else happens.
I hope you are noticing a trend. If a black person commits ANY crime, it doesn't receive hardly national attention.
Simply NOT true. Crime in and of itself is NOT a national story. It may be a nationwide problem but it is NOT a national story.
It doesn't matter how horrific the crime. All that matters is the perpetrator is black. So they ignore it.
Who is this "they" that is ignoring the reporting of crime? How is that possible?

That is too funny! Must be sarcasm.

Well, I have said it many times about white people being killed. Many times. Many many times. But white people are expendable. In case you haven't noticed.

And, YES, Amazon literally writes 'Black is Remarkable' on their website.

Do you not realize black people are treated like fragile humans who constantly need validation to even survive? That's not sarcasm, either.

Well, I have said it many times about white people being killed. Many times. Many many times. But white people are expendable. In case you haven't noticed.
You've said what many times about white people getting killed? Every time a white person is killed by a police officer you've said exactly what? Have you defended the police or have you questioned if whether or not the rights' of THAT person was violated by the police and continue to be violated by the police? You've said what? The almost entire historical mission of police forces have been to protect white lives and property. In that context maybe you have a point, "White people HAVE been expendable", and disposable for the betterment and benefit of other white people. If you haven't been calling that out, "Shame on you". Please demonstrate otherwise.
And, YES, Amazon literally writes 'Black is Remarkable' on their website.
No, Amazon has never promoted, stated, written or implied that. Provide for me a link, a quote or even a screen capture.
Do you not realize black people are treated like fragile humans who constantly need validation to even survive? That's not sarcasm, either.
On what planet are "black people" being treated like fragile human beings? Will you be able to give me an example of that? When did this treatment start?

By promoting "Black History Month" you take that as a need for validation to survive? Do you really understand sarcasm?

SARCASM the use of irony to mock or convey contempt.
"his voice, hardened by sarcasm, could not hide his resentment"
You sure you're not mocking or showing contempt or resentment? Are you sure?

reply

Wrong. Amazon literally has a link on their page PROMOTING black businesses with the name on it 'Black is Remarkable'.

Oh, excuse me. They changed it. Now it says 'Black is Innovative'. They change it from day to day.

reply

Black crime garners very little coverage because the media doesn't want to convey a true portrayal of Black people as they are to the public. This is a typical example of Black privilege.

reply

Thanks for that post trevorh321. And its so, so true.

reply

Two black teenagers intentionally run over a white retired cop bicyclist with a stolen car, while laughing about it, then post their own video of the murder on social media, and the news media won't even mention they're black (apart from Fox News, about the only news source connected with reality). No cities burning down. Forgotten in a few days.

Yes, this guy was white.

reply

he will never answer to your post, he ignores anything that doesn't comply to his vision and has no arguments against ...

reply

He wasn't "murdered" or "executed".

reply

Was he "killed", "assassinated", "executed", "martyred", "terminated"
"euthanized", "put down",......etc.......etc......wash, rinse, repeat?

reply

Yes. Google "Tony Timpa"

reply

So I googled "Tony Timpa" and I read an account of how the Dallas police department were performing their duties with a level of incompetence and disregard that finally saw the National Review highlight this AFTER the George Floyd killing.

Please make a point as to why this is relevant to the demands for accountability because of the George Floyd incident.

reply

It shows police tends to also kill White people in dubious circumstances and it also shows how when it's done against a White person it garners a fraction of the publicity.

reply

Stop being an ignorant moron and look up Tony Timpa.

A white guy killed similarly with this idiot. Only that Tony was NOT drugged, he DIDN'T try to use fake money, he WAS NOT criminal with multiple convictions. Worse: Tony was the one that called the police.

And there was no media outcry, no riot, no burnings, no one looted Nike shoes or iPads in his memory. You even had to fucking google to find about it, you were NOT hit over your head every day by the media and idiots like you with his case.

So, my friend, you ARE an imbecile.

More white men are killed by cops than black men. However, if Floyd had been white, we never would have heard about the incident.

reply

NO! That was easy. Thank you, have a nice day.🤣

reply

So right you are. Might not have even made the local papers had he been white.

reply

If every other detail of the case was the same, but he had been white, we would never have heard of him.

reply

"If every other detail of the case was the same, but he had been white, we would never have heard of him."

Exactly.

reply

Dumb question, because he would not have been killed if he were white. Maybe arrested and brought to the ground at worst.

reply

Read about Tony Timpa before showing off your ignorance.

reply

Would Channon Christian and Christopher Newsom's death gotten more publicity if they were black and their killers were white?

reply

Without a doubt. Probably been riots across America.

reply

No, everyone would have collectively thanked the police for preventing white Floyd from overdosing while driving down a city street.

reply

Nope.
