Another flop. He needs to fire his agent.

What are they doing?

reply

They keep trying to push Cavill as an A-lister but to me he hasn't got it. He does okay in material with a pre-existing fanbase (Superman, Witcher, and probably Warhammer), but he hasn't got the charisma or the acting talent to be an A-list draw in his own right. Sooner or later his people and the studios are going to realise this.

And Jesus, I hope they don't let him anywhere near Bond.

His Superman cameo in Black Adam hardly inspired significant numbers to go and watch the movie in cinemas.

reply

Yeah, that was funny. The Rock 'letting slip' Cavill's cameo in an attempt to boost BO numbers so that he could claim BA as a success backfired spectacularly!

The Snyder Cultists who keep hash taging Bring Back Henry Cavill or Restore The Snyderverse are a very small loud minority of people, and YouTubers like Aaron Fischer, Mr H Reviews and Ryan Kinel say they want Cavill back but don't support any of the products he's in, they're angry he's no longer Superman but they never supported the DC films he was in.

The sad truth is general audiences have moved from DCEU Superman and may have forgotten that Henry Cavill was Superman.

reply

I think this obsession with Cavill might be a man crush taken to extreme levels.

Taylor Lautner 6.0

I say 6.0 because he was 2.0 - 5.0, while Lautner has been forever discarded by Hollywood, but Hendry keeps getting rebooted instead of booted out the door.

reply

He is not Taylor Lautner, lol. Henry is pretty, charismatic and can actually act. We saw it in Mission Impossible.

Poor Taylor is not pretty and can't act. That's why he was quickly forgotten. It was truly laughable when Hollywood press tried to hype him like next big thing. I remember Deadline kept pushing him. And I was thinking: "Why do you do that? It's very obvious he will vanish the moment Twilight will end". And he did.

reply

His agents are doing very well actually. He stays in Hollywood way beyond his capabilities. He has no star power and is not a movie star. And should have been long forgotten. But somehow he stayed with that Superman fame and then his agent got him that Witcher role that somehow got so popular in first season.

But he can't carry movie o his own. That's why his solo projects flop. The Man from U.N.C.L.E. flopped because neither him or Army Hammer were movie stars and leading actors. And Hollywood thought they were.

reply

His agents don’t choose projects they know or think will fail. A lot of factors go into making a film and show. Sometimes it works and some times they don’t.

reply

He was great in UNCLE and MI and i prefer his foreign accent. He keeps getting hired despite a string of massive flops. Argylle (2024) got people fired.
