How many Blacks on Always Sunny, Jack?

Hey Danny, keep your attitude. Do not include me in your blanket - and prejudiced - judgement of all Americans. How many black roles have there been on "Always Sunny" lately? Or ever? HUH? Let's see...there was Telisha Shaw as the black coffee shop employee - that was in SEASON ONE, EPISODE ONE, TEN YEARS AGO. Oh yeah, I guess there were a couple of bit parts in the "Gang Recycles Their Trash" episode three years ago: Antonio D. Charity - Picketer #2. I'm surprised there weren't any Emmy noms for that magnanimous display of racial equity in your casting choices.

Are you just trying to look concerned? Or are you really that full of sh*t? You want to know some other racist countries who are far less friendly to black people than the United States? Try Japan, Russia, Israel, or South Korea. Yes, South Korea - think about that next time you're considering a Samsung or LG product. South Koreans harbor intense antipathy toward blacks. Want to see cops who really know how to beat the sh*t out of black people? Head to South Korea. A friend of mine taught English there and was shocked at their unabashed racism - not just toward African-Americans, but all blacks. Many South Koreans literally believe that black people are less intelligent, lazy, and dangerous. Her Korean friends and coworkers couldn't believe Americans were crazy enough to have a black president.

But I digress.

Dear Mr. DeVito:

Walk the walk on your own show, then you can pass judgement on the rest of us. And by the way, I'll be skipping the rest of the new season of Sunny. Suddenly a cloud has passed over it for me.

Yours truly,
An Entertainment Fan Fed Up With Hollywood's Sanctimonious Political Pundits

Of the 692 speaking parts or character parts listed on IMDB for IASIP, it appears that less then 10 (thats about 1.4 %) of them have been cast with black actors. That's on a show set in Philly.

You tell Danny!

reply

It's not his show though. Always sunny even makes fun of the fact that they don't have a black guy in their group.

reply

ha ha ha yeah absolutely true that's hilarious !!!

also they actually make fun or laugh at absolutely everyone, jewish, asian, black, latinos, europeans, christians, gays, low income white trash, old people, etc... absolutely every one gets their share.

reply

One of the recent episodes of Always Sunny has them all as black people.

Did this retard write a letter to Devito on a movie site like he would actually get it because he runs his page or something? LOL Oh dear lord, I hope this dunce didn't wind up at moviechat.

reply

You did, so...

reply

How many whites in Fresh Prince of Bel Air or Cosby Show? no need to always have this racial inclusion, it doesnt mean people are racist

reply

exactly

reply

But is Hollywood's sjw quotas, or whatever you want to call it, having a real life positive effect?

i.e. If you went into a real life Philly bar 20 years ago I guess it's possible it would be ran by a group of single race (white say) friends. However if you did that today, would a new generation of buddies running a bar, having been raised on viewing mixed racial profile buddies, more likely to be a mixed group?

reply

Probably.

reply

Well that's good then.

Discounting the frothing "that person was historically white so I cannot accept this fictional film" brigade, that means racial discord should slowly fade away over time.

What about the gangs of South Central LA? Are they more diverse these days?

reply

I don't know anything about gangs.

reply

Everything I know comes from Boys In The Hood.

... And a bit of Gangs of New York I suppose. But I had to stop watching that after about half an hour as it was so bad. So mostly the Boys In The Hood.

reply

I've never seen Boyz in the Hood.

reply

Well, you should give it a watch - It will certainly help increase your vast gangs knowledge...

reply

I don't have a vast knowledge about gangs.

reply

they did blackface so there were some blacks on the show technically

reply

I hate to use this but it's applicable here twice in one thread.:

RULE NUMBER ONE.

reply

Cry more, snowflake.
Not every show needs to pander to your hurt feelings.
If you are so bothered by white actors, don't watch the show and stop crying.
