Lori Loughlin TV Movies

I don't believe a thread has been started for Lori Loughlin's TV Movies and I'm a big fan of hers from her work on "Full House" so I thought I'd start a thread, whether anyone is interested or not. I haven't seen all of her TV Movies, but here are the ones I have seen:

1. Doing Time on Maple Drive (1992)-I have this one on DVD. A young Jim Carrey is in this one and Lori plays the girlfriend of a man who tries to hide the fact that he is gay. Carrey plays that man's alcoholic brother.

2. To Grandmother's House We Go (1992)-This is a kids movie starring Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. Lori and some of the Olsens' other "Full House" costars, including Bob Saget and Candace Cameron, have cameos in this movie. Lori and Bob's roles are a little more than cameos. She plays the TV hostess of a lottery contest.

3. Abandoned and Deceived (1995)-This movie is based on a true story. Lori plays a divorced mom struggling to make ends meet and struggling even more to make her deadbeat ex pay her child support.

4. A Mother's Rage (2013)-This was Lori's most recent TV movie, one that aired on Lifetime. It had several twists and turns to it. It went in directions I didn't expect it to go in at all. Lori played the concerned mother of a female college student who would do anything to protect her daughter. Let's leave it at that.

jgiles, Thanks for starting this thread- I love Lori too! I was so glad that she just starred in "A Mother's Rage" (I was afraid that her leading lady days were over and she was now confined to supporting roles.) I thought it was very good. I also have seen "Abandoned and Deceived", and because of your description, I want to see "Doing Time on Maple Drive".
I'll add to your list:

5. Empty Cradle (1993) This is seriously one of my all-time favorite TV movies. It is a MUST-SEE! Lori plays a pregnant who has her baby stolen by a psychotic nurse (Kate Jackson) who plans to raise the baby as her own. I know the plot sounds similar to the Nancy McKeon TV movie "Baby Snatcher", but this one is far superior (imho). TV movies don't get better than this!

6. A Place to Call Home (1987) Linda Lavin stars in this movie and Lori has a large supporting role as her daughter. Linda's controlling, unfaithful husband convinces her to move with their 11 children to the Australian outback, because he believes the US has bad influences on the kids. He tells the family to go without him, and he says he'll meet them in Australia in a few weeks. Months pass, and the family realizes that they have been abandoned by the father, and he has started a new life in the US with his mistress. The family then raises sheep to sell the wool. Not great, but still good.

...Looking over Lori's list, it looks like there are still many more TV movies she did that we need to seek out! =)

I've heard good things about Empty Cradle, but have never seen it. I have Baby Snatcher in my DVR queue to watch soon.

Yesterday I watched a really good Lori Loughlin TV movie:

7. Blessed Assurance (originally titled "The Price of Heaven") (1997) Despite the religious-sounding title, the movie is not religious at all. It takes place in the 1950's, and it starts on the day Grant Show comes back from war, he returns to his small town and to his working-class fiancee (Lori). The movie follows him as he takes unsatisfying jobs, finally settling on a job that requires him to deceive people. At the same time, there is also another woman (who is more glamorous than Lori) who is trying to steal him away from Lori. Cicely Tyson co-stars in this film directed by Peter Bogdanovich. I'm really surprised that this terrific gem isn't more well-known!

I only saw one of her T.V. movies.

Tell Me No Secrets (1997)- 8/10

Volker Flenske: (While torturing David) I don't know why you're doing this to yourself!

I caught this movie once on Lifetime and have been wanting to see the movie since! They repeat so many movies but never the good ones!!

Never do something permanently foolish just because you are temporarily upset!

I love Empty Cradle! Totally agree that it's a great movie. I haven't seen it on Lifetime in a very long time though.

I just saw her on the Hallmark Movies & Mystery channel in Garage Sale Mystery: The Deadly Room. Reminds me of the Ghost Whisperer series, and is pretty good. I like cozy mysteries and always wanted to see these books being made into tv movies. They certainly have enough material to work with.
