Ellen Page!!

Ellen Page came out! Way to go!! I've always loved her work and now I love her even more. I'm proud of her for taking this step and I hope all the pain now is behind her. Clear sailing all the way!

Let's all rewatch Whip It in her honor.

Watched "Whip It", "Juno" & "Xmen" in her honor. Hope her career doesn't suffer. Seems the careers of male celebrities are less affected by coming out.

Haven't watched Juno yet but I love her acting in Inception.

Well Juno, she denied it for so long, before having an inception about it
But she's whipping it now that she's X-Men.

I just watched Whip-it the other day, she's a great actress.

Do you just randomly think of stuff like this? I'm impressed.

I know I've posted topics related to Celebrities Coming Out in the past but I'm wondering if anyone agrees with Ellen Page on the whole "Lying by omission" issue?

Basically: Do you agree with Page that not revealing your sexual preference (if you are not straight specifically) is lying by omission?

Peace!

I always appreciate it when famous people proudly come out, but I don't know if I would call it lying by omission. It's not like famous people have a duty to tell the press their sexual orientation.

I guess if you're in a relationship and in your interviews you deny having anyone special in your life, that would be a lie. But that's all.

I'm definitely glad though whenever anyone proudly comes out. I wish more Hollywood people would.
