Lost in Space

I am currently having a blast from the past with that show. We have recently gotten a Roku device to get our Netflix and Hulu through and it has its own Roku channel. Some of the shows/series it has is Lost in Space and Batman.

I'm a child of the 70's and although these shows were off the air when I was born I watched all of these old 60's shows via reruns. I think I watched and liked more 60's shows than I did the current 70's shows at the time.

Anyway, I've been putting some old Batman and Robin episodes on and Lost in Space episodes on for my youngest son. I'd forgotten how much I used to watch and love those shows. I used to watch these two as well as Gilligan's Island.

I'd forgotten, as a little boy I used to have a crush on the Penny Robinson character. I loved the Jupiter II as a kid and thought that was the coolest thing ever. Re-watching it a bit now the proportions seem off a bit. The ship is relatively small but when they film it from the inside it has endless rooms and compartments and a warehouse where they keep boxes of food and it keeps that tracked vehicle and their probe ship. It doesn't seem that there is enough space for that, the ship is too small.

Yes, a lot of the effects are cheesy but some of those creatures/monsters are kind of creepy. The Jupiter II is nicely done and the sounds effects of its takeoff engines is still cool to this day.

I kind of forgot how fun it was as a kid.
