Design on a Dime

I know it would be hard to make a dramatic change in a room for a thousand dollars. I wouldn't want to take on that responsibility. But some of the decorators do the tackiest things.

It would be better just to change the color scheme and a couple of pieces in the room, rather than change everything, and have everything be bad.

I know what you mean, just painting a room and adding little touches can be expensive, but what bothers me about "Design On a Dime" is when they get rid of the home owner's knick-knacks, etc. then spend $150 on "accessories" (I wouldn't be thrilled if they threw out my grandmother's parrot statue then filled gaps between books inn the bookcase with glass balls and a mutant bicyclist). :)

Are they obligated to act like they're thrilled with the room, even when they aren't? It kinda seems that way.

that is why reality TV is never real
