I'm fiddling around with this one idea for a script or (more likely) a YA novel.
A time traveling observer on the ill-fated Titanic voyage falls for a young woman and against all logic and common sense, he rescues her by bringing her to present day New York City.
How would this young heroine react the modern world around her?

Don't get smart. What would be the most shocking things to any person plucked from a century ago? There's been so much technological and social change.
shareAirplanes and space travel. there were planes in 1912 but very slow and skimpy compared to today's. Also, she would be shocked how fast cars are allowed to travel, whether in town or on the highway. The horsepower would seem to her something insanely preposterous.

...a person from 1912 thrown into todays world would be locked up. It's called insanity...unable to cope with the pressure of progress...

Could have flying cars in 100 yrs if there is a breakthrough in room temp super conductors.
Yorick, I think she would be utterly shocked for many months for sure. With all the lights everywhere she would need a helping hand.
Life in 1912:
No TV
No Radio
Cars just staring out
No plane flights
electricity still pretty scarce back then.
No Ipad, PS-4 or Rubix cube
Life in 2112:
Fusion reactors are the top source of fuel. Fossils fuels are going out.
Robots everywhere performing basic jobs. Still not as smart as humans but improving vastly.
Medicine- easy to clone and regenerate bad organs or lost body parts like a car dealership.
Everything is now animated with cheap computer chips.
Hologram TV's
Possible small human colony on Mars
NAnotechnology batteries powering cars and all electronics for super long periods of time.
Will be able to control most functions in your house by simple though patterns as you are jacked into super computer.
You're an author. You can choose whatever you want. Maybe feminism. Maybe the fashions. Maybe the fact that it doesn't look as impressive as it did in the magazines of her time. Maybe because Black people don't know their place any more.
If you have to poll for ideas, then you're not an author yet. I could write a story with any one of those option, and many others. You need to poll here on the IMDB. You won't be a success as a writer unless you develop an imagination.
