Any movies that correctly show time delays in distant sounds?

It has long irritated me, as a tedious pedant, that movies never even try to portray the relatively slow speed of sound. A distant explosion arrives instantly. Are there any exceptions to this rule?

True Lies got nuclear bomb blast right. You see the nuclear flash as Arnold Schwarzenegger romantically kisses Jamie Lee Curtis then a couple of seconds later you hear the muffled roar of the blast coupled with the wind from the shock wave.

Come to think of it, there's a movie I've seen which features snipers that was pretty damn accurate. Whenever a far off sniper fired a shot you would see the target get hit first then a second or two later you would hear the gunfire. It was a bit disorienting at first because I'm used to Hollywood's insistence on doing it the other way round. I forgot the name of the movie. Might have been Hurt Locker or American Sniper.
