FEMALE COMEDY SHOWS RULE!!

has anyone watched:
-the catherine tate show
-little miss joselyn
-katy brands big ass show
-french and saunders
-absolutly fabulous (ab fab)
-two pints of larger and a packet of crisps
-miranda

or was it just me? :)

reply

yeah it really was funny! do they repeat it on telly anymore?

French & Saunders had their moments and Ab Fab was good to begin with but ran too long. I can't abide Catherine Tate or Little Miss Jocelyn, instant channel change if they're on. Ever seen Smack The Pony? That wasn't bad at all.

Catherine Tate's show I really didn't like much - it's largely catchphrase comedy and I find that annoying and done to death.

I haven't seen much of Little Miss Jocelyn and what I saw I didn't take to much, but I've seen her on various other shows and she's very funny. Perhaps she needs to change the format or needs a different vehicle.

Katy Brand - don't know.

French and Saunders I used to like and now I can't watch, a bit like Harry Enfield.

Ab Fab was pretty good.

Two Pints & a Packet of Crisps - wasn't as bad as they say, although I think losing Johnny put the tin-lid on it.

Miranda is alright, find her quite likeable. I wouldn't switch on especially, but if it's on, that's ok.

I second the suggestion about Smack the Pony.

If today's my last day on earth, I don't want it to be socially awkward.

I have only seen "Ab Fab",VERY WELL DONE!!

Ab Fab

Not the rest.

Elvira mistress of the dark is the coolest woman ever.
DCI Gene Hunt (UK) coolest man ever.

One of the best black comedies of recent years for me has been 'Getting On' which has been written by its female cast of Jo Brand, vicki Pepperdine and Joanna Scanlan. This is sharp, cruel and very very funny.

I haven't heard of that one - will look out for it, ta.
