A tale of two sisters

I watched this on Halloween night expecting a crazy scary horrific movie but that ain't it. There was a few jump-scares here and there but the atmosphere didn't affect me much. Maybe if I would've watch this in 2003 I would've find it crazy but at this point, not that much. I keep reading that the movie is 1h55 but the version I saw was 2h20. I did appreciate the slow pace and psychological side of it but what got to me (negatively) was when the characters were moving oh so slowly and taking forever to proceed with common actions. (Opening a door, slicing food, approaching strange object etc.) Its like "get on with it!!". The story has a few good twist but I saw some of them coming and like I said, at this point, not that original. A solid cinematography, good music and good acting is what kept me watching all the way to the very last, final, final scene. (I really think the shorter version must be better) 6/10

Where did you find a 2h20 version of the film? Was it a DVD, and if so, which one?

reply

It's actually on YouTube !

Is this the video? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=grr7uBQai9E

I think that video is slowed down. You can see the KissAsian watermark, so it must have come from there, but the version on KissAsian is 1:55. The movie in the Youtube video also only takes up part of the screen, so I'm not sure why anyone would want to watch a movie like that.

Haha! That would Explain all the problems I had with the movie! Shyt...
As for the screen, I watched it on my Xbox one and was able to zoom in so that all I saw on my TV was the movie and it was actually still good looking.

It was either I watch that version or don't see the movie at all so...

If you re-read my critique it all makes sense now. No wonder I was losing my mind over a character simply opening a door L. Shyt...
