Which western actor had the most parts?

I'd say Myron Healey could hold the record, he was never off the screen both large and small in the Fifties a bit too much for my liking as I never though he that good. Harry Lauter, John Dehner and John Doucette were not far behind.

George "Gabby" Hayes supported just about every "B" cowboy in the business as well as John Wayne and Randolph Scott.
Roy Barcroft, "The busiest badman in westerns" harassed all of Republic's "B" cowboys as well as, appearing in many of their "A" westerns.

Gabby Hayes could have done more work than all of them put together. Every one knew Gabby Hayes but Myron Healey was one of those faces that was very familiar but with little recognition by name. Healey had a longer career than Bancroft, it must be a close call who had the most parts between them.

Ray Teal certainly had his fair share of Western supporting roles, as did Bob Steele.

"Barney Sloane...That's my new name...My old one's a little more Italian."

reply

They certainly did. I always loved Bob Steele's Mystery Squadron
